Christmas Eve (24 Dec 2011)

I come to compose this message on the morning of Christmas eve, which is a Saturday this year.

Have you ever noticed how, the more important and heartfelt something is that we want to convey, the more difficult it is to put it into words?  What can I say to you to wish a truly Christian, joyous, celebration of Our Lord’s birth?   Merry Christmas is about the best I can do, using the old English meaning of the word “merry”.  To me, it means that I want you to have the kind of Christmas sentiments that Our Lord and His Church want you to have as we celebrate this great festival together.

God bless you and those you love now and in the coming year. Thank you for seeking God’s truth.  God bless you.  Father Victor Brown, O.P.
